How to Register a Community

Registering your community creates your public profile on MilSim.io so players can discover and join you.

Before You Start

• Sign in to your MilSim.io account.
• Prepare your community name, abbreviation, and description.
• Have your Discord invite and website ready (optional).

Registration Steps

Go to the community registration page and complete each step:

/communities/create

Step 1: Basic information

Enter your core identity:

• Community name (required)
• Abbreviation (required)
• Description (optional, up to 4000 characters)
• Discord invite (optional)
• Website (optional)

Abbreviation rules:

• 2 to 8 characters
• Letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores only
• Must be available (not already taken)

Step 2: Games

Select the games your unit supports so players can find you in the right listings.

Step 3: Region

Choose the regions your unit operates in.

Step 4: Playstyle

Select playstyles that match your community style and expectations.

Step 5: Branding

Optionally upload:

• Logo
• Banner
• Background image

This helps your profile stand out and look complete.

Step 6: Plans (optional)

After your community is created, you can optionally start checkout for:

• C2
• MilSim Rank

You can also skip checkout and manage plans later from your community settings.

After Registration

When creation succeeds:

• Your community profile is live.
• You can manage and edit it at any time.
• You can return to billing and plan upgrades later.
